There were a number of reasons for the prolonged debts of those enterprises, including difficulties in production and business, meaning the companies were unable to afford the premiums. Recently, Việt Nam Social Insurance has focused on directing social insurance in provinces and cities to strengthen specialised inspections on enterprises with large outstanding social insurance and health insurance debts.
